Melissa Shetler has been involved in the horse world her entire life. She began her show career in Crawford County, PA doing small 4-H and open shows. She also helped fellow 4Hers with their projects. This eventually led into training on a small scale locally. These small successes on a local level developed into training and showing AQHA at the national level. As a result, Circle M Training Center was born in 2002. After years of leasing facilities, she was fortunate enough to eventually build her own training facility located in Saegertown, PA.

Melissa's main focus has been the all around events. She specializes in showmanship, horsemanship, trail, western riding, hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation, halter, and western pleasure.

She has developed a strong team of horses and customers over the past 13 years. She has had 2 AQHA Congress Championships, 2 Reserve Congress Champions, and countless Top 10's, Top 15's, and finalists as well as Top Ten winners at the ApHC and AQHA World Shows. Winners include all around champions, AQHA superiors, state, and national point leaders, Just Rookie Winners, and world qualifiers.

She is a current member in good standing with the Professional Horsemans Association, AQHA and NSBA. She also serves as a member of the board for the Pennsylvania Quarter Horse Association, a national affiliate to AQHA. Moving forward, Melissa is looking to pursue her AQHA judges card in an effort to always be improving her eye for the show horses and what judges are looking for in the show ring.
